Dr. Andrea Velox, PhD, LPC…..Received a Master of Arts in Psychology from the College of William and Mary in
Virginia, and a Doctor of Philosophy in School Psychology from Texas A & M University. Dr. Velox has 20 + years
of experience in the mental health field; these include organizations such as MHMRA, Children’s Crisis Care
Center, Depelchin Children’s Services, Houston Area Women’s Center, and Texas Research Institute for Mental
Sciences/Baylor. In addition, Dr. Velox served several years as the Mental Wellness Coordinator for Harris
County Head Start programs serving 16 sites. Dr. Velox also has a commitment to serving diverse, “at risk”, and
financially undeserved children & adolescents and their families, which coincides with her work in research
projects dealing with health disparities among special populations in the U.S., and Canada.
